My wife and I purchased the Reserve Pillow Top Firm in King Size. Upon delivery we were very disappointed to find that the frame of the box spring was apparently intended for the runner on a child's rocking horse. It was so curved that the box spring would not lie flat on the bed frame. When lying on the floor it stood up several inches on end rather than lying flat. To pay almost $7,000.00 including delivery and old mattress removal and then find the mobile home quality in the box spring was extremely disappointing to say the least. Unfortunately, we refused the delivery and obtained a refund. We will no longer consider a Stearns & Foster product.........This is no reflection on the furniture store where the purchase was made, as they have no complete control over product quality that is received from the factory.......

This was a huge upgrade over my previous mattress-in-a-box. Support is great for back sleepers. It's firm, but still feels like sleeping on a pillow! The mattress is tall though, make sure you get deep-pocket fitted sheets.

This has easily been one of the highest ROI purchases I've made for my health. I highly recommend it for anyone dealing with pressure points, poor sleep, or chronic discomfort. You can find mattresses that are softer and you can find firmer but both in one mattress is extremely difficult to find.
- DO NOT BUY from a furniture store like I did at Ashley's furniture, ONLY BUY DIRECTLY FROM manufacture.
At 6k this is an expensive mattress no matter how you slice it, however I honestly had no idea the Reserve PT Firm mattress could make this much of a difference. I paired it with the adjustable base, which in hindsight I didn't really need since I haven't had to make a single adjustment - could have probably saved that money.
After only 6 days, the improvement had been incredible. I was fully expecting a 1–2 month break-in period, so the immediate results were a big surprise.
One unexpected (and awesome) change - I can now sleep comfortably in any position (side, back, or stomach) throughout the night. I had no idea sleeping in the same position all night was a thing. I used to wake up every 2–3 hours and constantly change positions due to discomfort.
- For context, my previous mattress was also over $4K only 4 years old, so I was wishing but I wasn't expecting this level of improvement - the difference has been night and day.
Highlights:
✔️ Sleeping through the night without waking up in pain
✔️ Hip pain completely gone (used to wake me up after 2–3 hours)
✔️ Shoulder pressure significantly reduced
✔️ Waking up fully rested - no more headaches
✔️ Able to comfortably sleep on my side all night
✔️ Noticeable improvement in muscle tightness (even long-standing thigh tension is easing)
✔️ Deeper, more restorative sleep overall
✔️ Immediate impact - no long break-in period needed
Final thought:
- If this lasts at least 5 years I would consider it a win and would buy again, yes even at 6k.
- Firmness level - I spent a lot of time overthinking between the Reserve PT Firm vs Soft, and even considered the Lux Estate Medium PT. For me, the Firm PT is perfect - supportive without being too firm. Anything softer would likely have reintroduced the "dip" issues I cant deal with.
- For reference, I'm 5'11" and 218 lbs, so support was critical - but I still needed pressure relief. This mattress delivers both.

This is the 2nd Sterns and Foster mattress that I've owned and happy with the mattress. As one of the top of the line mattresses in the industry, it is a good quality product. As with my 1st mattress always buy the top of the line mattress in the Sterns and Foster line and do like the firmness of the mattress and sleep a lot better with a newer version of practically the same mattress previously purchased. It is not 100% but in the 90% customer satisfaction range. I do recommend this mattress to my family but have been told the firmness is too much for them which is a big plus for me and my spouse. As with all mattresses, over time there is wear and dips but I know all mattresses do this over time. I will continue to purchase this brand as long as it stays within my price range.

We have always loved a plush, soft mattress and I did a lot of research before deciding on moving forward with this new mattress. When it arrived, at first, it was a little odd for us. It felt plush, but it was very weird as we were used to plush beds having bounce. It took us a few days to realized how soft the mattress was while also providing such a higher form of support than we were used to with plush mattresses. The memory foam layer really threw us for a loop, but not in a bad way. After a full week, we noticed we were both sleeping better and snoring had decreased for both of us. I love being able to lift my head (with the adjustable base) to watch TV at night instead of trying to prop up pillows. Zero-G is a little odd and we're not totally sure how it helps or even how/when we should use it. Overall, at this point, we are thrilled with the new mattress. Its soft, but supportive. There are days we would prefer to lay in bed than on the couch.

Stearns and Foster has been our exclusive mattress in every bedroom and home for over thirty years simply because there is nothing close in comfort and quality. With a need for a master bedroom replacement we decided to approach with an open mind. We researched and tested many of the well-known coil spring and foam brands as well as the new to market brands that were highly rated. We decided a coil-spring mattress best fit our needs. All the brands performed equally well but the Stearns and Foster Reserve (medium - important to get the right firmness) was the one mattress that was "noticeably" more comfortable. Stearns and Foster is in the upper price range but the benefits of a quality sleep far outweigh the additional cost. Stearns and Foster is clearly the industry standard for mattress comfort and luxury.

We ordered our mattress on February 16 and I kept looking up the order and it just kept saying it hasn't shipped yet but everything else was there so I called them this morning and they said it had been canceled because they sent me an email, which probably went to spam and no phone call saying that they need to verified it wasn't fraud , so here we are with no mattress and they won't honor me the sale price🤷🏻♀️ Not a good company to deal with a unfortunately😕 so disappointing.

Finally! After having had three prior experiences from the Stearns and Foster bed lines, the Reserve Pillow Top Soft, the Lux Estate, and the Lux Hybrid all of which were comfortable, however not quite the right fit for me. After careful consideration I rested upon the oh so comfortable Reserve Collection Medium Tight Top. What a pleasure it is to sleep these days, like a dream! The snooze button has become my friend since my purchase of this Reserve Collection Medium mattress! If you are looking for non motion transfer, slightly hugging but definitely not that sinking feeling, (trust me I've had a soft pillow top that sank) more comparable to the perfect amount of strong soft density as far as the absorption goes. My body feels aligned as well as supported in my hips, back and neck as I am a side sleeper. While reading on my back I feel supported in the appropriate areas & very relaxed. My arms do not wake up numb from poor sleeping posture as in prior mattress experiences. I do not sink in the middle at all, the consistency is symmetrical throughout. I wake up refreshed. Actually, I don't want to get up at all because this mattress is so flipping comfortable! Finally! Thank you Stearns! You truly deserve the credit for this one, hence I am leaving a review.
P.s. If you are considering this mattress purchase consider allowing it to air out (gas off) for a few days as the organic matter within does smell a bit otherwise.

Years of back pain and multiple bed purchases we have finally found the champ! The bed is extremely comfortable and has alleviated ongoing back pain for my wife and I. We have paired the mattress with a Tempur-Pedic Pro Smart adjustable base and it's been truly great. You get your best results sleeping in the middle of the bed. The sides of the bed still provide comfort but the middle is the sweet spot! Overall comfort everywhere. Now we just have to fight to keep the kids out!

We were initially hesitant about purchasing this mattress due to the price, but after coming back to it several times while shopping we knew we had to give it a try. It is honestly the most comfortable mattress we've ever had, and from day one of sleeping on it we're in love. The firm support is just what we needed for perpetually sore backs, and the pillow top keeps us comfortable while offering supportive sleep. The only downside is the size, it was challenging to get it up to our bedroom and larger sheets are needed for the deep pockets at 17".
As my husband puts it, he dreams of getting back into it as soon as he wakes up in the morning. We highly recommend splurging and enjoying the comfort of the Reserve.

I have been living with hip for quite some time, we took a chance , spent more $ than usual for a mattress, and have never regretted it. Truly I have not had the hip pain keeping me up at night, even though I just turned 71.

This is our third SF Mattress and it is the best yet. It has been a few months since our new SF mattress arrived and every night when I get into bed my husband chuckles because I invariably say "I love this bed, it feels wonderful and is sooooo comfortable." My 60+ years body truly appreciates the instant comfort the tight-top offers with just the right amount of snuggle and firm support from my shoulders down to my feet. I no longer toss and turn trying to relieve my hip and back pain. Each morning I wake-up pain free. Plus my sound sleep helps my husband sleep better too. Love it!
My husband is happy we bought our new mattress this year and did not wait another year. Our SF mattress is the best! Ir proves a great night's sleep is so important to our health and mental outlook.

This mattress is fantastic! We had a different brand of mattress similar to this for over 10 years and were reluctant to replace it because we loved it so much and didn't think we would find something we liked equally to it. After looking at many mattresses, we decided on the Sterns and Foster Reserve 17 inch firm. It exceeded our expectations!
We also bought the base to make the bed adjustable. I love the sleep tracker feature for monitoring my sleep quality, and being adjustable it also helps to control my husband snoring. We definitely recommend this mattress!

This is my second mattress set that i have used from Stearns and Foster's and from experience this is the only one that i would ever recommend to anyone who wants one of the most comfortable and relaxing sleeps ever. Its soft but its firm it makes you feel so relaxed the second you lie on it. This is a daily pleasure and i truly look forward to laying on it night after night. This bed is extremely comfortable. With age relate aches and pains at night, this mattress has really helped relieve most of the issues. The only matter I have is the weight as this makes it difficult to change the bedding.

We recently upgraded to the Stearns & Foster King Size Reserve Euro Pillow Firm after retiring our 13 year-old mattress, and from the very first night, it has been a godsend. My husband and I both agree this is one of the most comfortable mattresses we've ever slept on in our 64 years. The support is excellent, yet it still has a luxurious, plush feel.
The only initial challenge was the foundation. At 5'2", the 9-inch foundation made the bed too high for me to comfortably get in and out of. I contacted Mattress Firm, and they promptly resolved the issue by swapping it for a low-profile foundation within just three days-and even reduced the delivery fee. Their customer service was outstanding.
Now, with the lower foundation, the bed is absolutely perfect. We could not be happier with our purchase and highly recommend both the mattress and the service from Mattress Firm.

We just ordered our 3rd Sterns and Foster mattress. We love the comfort. The web site was easy to use and they kept in touch with us as to when the mattess could be delivered and they gave us the choice of a couple different days and times. The guys who set it up were friendly and actually our dogs really loved them. We would never get another mattress expect for the top of the line Sterns and Foster pillow top.

Had to return the estate lux medium it was just too soft and I'm a heavier woman. S and t suggested firm pillow top and I had to pay more , but so worth it. It's not hard as a rock as you might think, I'm also a side sleeper and it's still perfect. From the first night I had less back pain and able to move more during the day. It's a lot of money but on this product it's worth every penny. Highly recommend!

The mattress seems of course very well made. We haven't as of yet had trouble with the comfort. However upon purchasing this top level mattress I did not realize how heavy it would be. I am 69 and cannot lift it up high enough to get the sheets tucked under the mattress. Sleeping has been good but changing the sheets is a job.

S&F Estate Medium twin XL mattresses with King adjustable bed frame has proven to be a wonderful purchase. Besides the comfortable, cool and supportive features the mattresses provide...we are not waking each other up when moving or getting up anymore!
We chose Twin XL sheets with a King comforter...may switch to two separate comforters as it seems to "travel"😅 The adjustable bed frame is fun! Lights, lumbar support, zero gravity and more.

I had to file a claim because my mattress became defective with indentations. The process was smooth, but I feel that the warranty should have paid for the delivery fee of $249.99. I did not contribute to the defect. I feel cheated of that money. Very disappointed.

My goal was to invest in my sleep. And I was thrilled to have a high end mattress after trying out several in store. However, the first few months on my big splurge were not what I expected. The mattress was hard. I was not comfortable. After reading reviews telling me to wait up to 3 months for the mattress to break in, I was prepared for that. But it took much longer, closer to 5 months. For context, I'm about 135 pounds and travel some for work, so I miss some nights on the bed. I'm sensory sensitive for sure, so my experience may be more impactful than others. I was frustrated and even had my husband walking on my side during the day! Was initially convinced we got the wrong model! It's all better now and there is no doubt…The wait was worth it! My mattress is fantastic. It's my absolute favorite place and is a split with adjustable base. We are both so happy and sleep better than ever. Give it time. You will love it!

Unfortunately, this bed was a gift. As soon as I sat on it, I knew I didn't like it. I slept on it anyway and it didn't fit my body. It's like if you piled up a bunch of blankets layer by layer and slept on top of them. I tossed and turned. I have no idea why they call it 'luxury'. I've had far better sleep on two-star hotel mattresses. As for now, I'm sleeping in my guest bedroom. I hope I can sell this thing secondhand for a good price.

I think I've finally found the best mattress I have ever owned! I'm no longer waking up in pain, and can sleep through the night without tossing and turning. This is by far the heaviest mattress I've ever had, so making the bed the first time was humorous. I wasn't expecting the corners to be that heavy, but I was able to work it out!
